Billing Application

Florida Blue is an insurance company serving 15 million people across the U.S.A. The billing application for customers was in need of a major redesign. The redesign included the need to add a new user flow as well as modern visual treatments.

To help the user feel confident in the end-to-end payment process, a new design system was created. These additions allow the customer to pay with a variety of tailored options that best meet their needs. I worked with my manager, Eric Crawford; Ashli Thomas, Pankaj Bhagwat, and a team of developers to create the application.

The Florida Blue customers were provided a summary of the bill on the first screen of the payment process. Quick pay, Customized pay, and or Payment in advance options were the key features to be organized in the user's path. These wireframes were some of the first created by UX researchers.

The billing payment design system is a custum library.
These preliminary design components share the same colors, typography, and grid structure for consistency.

Customize Payment - Part 1 of 2

Customers can choose which plans to pay for by opening their desired product card.
Once the product cards are open they can queue up desired ways of making a payment.

Customize Payment - Part 2 of 2

In the second part of the payment process, users can pick up to 5 different dates to pay their desired amount per product. Once the dates are queued up, the user can review and complete their payment.
